Nice flosser for braces December 27, 2006 Modern Blue Argonaut 53 out of 53 found this review helpful
I have found this flosser to be a convenient alternative to traditional dental floss, however, I do still prefer the cleaning power of traditional waxed dental floss. For people with braces this is such a nice tool to easily get between the teeth as long as your teeth aren't too cramped. My son uses this and it does a good job, and although I've tried it, it's not something I will be purchasing for myself. For it's cheap price, however, I would recommend giving it a try. Each of the disposable flossing heads can be used at least a couple of times if desired. My only complaint is that you cannot choose the color and unfortunately my teenage son received a girl color: purple! **Update** My sons dentist said that this flosser was irritating his gums. He does change his flossing tip daily so I can only assume it's the vibrating motion that his gums don't like. We have since switched to regular waxed floss, a good quality brand called Glide, and his gums feel better.
Save your smile & your teeth for under $10 October 17, 2007 VAFunster (Occoquan VA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Like a lot of people, I hate to floss, and consequently have had severe gum problems as I have aged. This little gizmo is just about the easiest most convenient thing imaginable to use for flossing. I got my first one 2 yrs ago, and just purchased 11 more to give to all my family and keep a spare at the office. When I gave one to my daughter, she was concerned that it didn't to the back of the gums but it really does work there too. The FLA-220 is very high quality, has never broken down and does exactly what it says it will. There are 15 replacement tips which should last for years. My gums are in great shape and this little Water Pik device is responsible. My periodontist cancelled major gum surgery because my gums had healed so well. My first gum surgery cost over $8000, and was unbelievably painful. I am VERY HAPPY! The first one I got as a gift, and I had not been able to find another one locally and went to Amazon as a last resort. They not only had it, but had the extras for the fam and sent them right way. This is a great device. BUY IT!!!
Really works well! March 30, 2008 Jack B. Isreal (Suwanee, GA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The tips are thin enough to get between all teeth, yet sturdy enough that they last through several uses. The tips' vibration is so intense that they must be doing a good job. I didn't expect to be this impressed.
Great flosser May 25, 2008 Ramesh C. Hanumanthaiah (Bothell, WA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great Product. I did not like to floss using he traditional thread floss. After I got this product, I love to floss everytime after eating food. The product is simple to use, works great and comes in pleasing colour. All my famly members are loving this product and I am planning to get one for each of them.
great for kids October 10, 2008 marie curie (San Francisco, CA USA) what a relief to find this device. our 8-yr-old has braces, and even with those floss threader-thingies i was doing a terrible job trying to floss his teeth. i do much better with this. our 10-yr-old didn't have the patience or coordination to floss on his own until we got him one of these, and now he calmly integrates it into his evening routine - he just needed some supervision & guidance the first few times. i'll always use regular floss myself, but for those who can't or won't, this is a great alternative.
